Major Fire at Capital Power System Limited in Noida Leaves Over Two Dozen Injured

The officer confirmed that no one else is currently trapped in the building.

A fire broke out at a factory in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida earlier this morning, leaving over two dozen people injured in the incident. Around 200–250 people were present at the factory during the night shift at the time of the incident.

According to news agency ANI, the fire broke out at Capital Power System Limited Company in B-40, Sector 4, under the Phase 1 police station area.

The reason behind the incident is unknown at the time of filing this report.

The fire has been brought under control, while efforts are underway to completely douse it.

Those injured have been admitted to the district hospital and are all out of danger, said Additional CP (Law & Order) Rajeev Narain Mishra.

Additional CP (Law & Order), speaking to ANI, said, “The fire was brought under control. Around 200-250 were on a night shift at the factory at the time. Rescue operations began, and the entire fire team broke through the glass and rescued the victims from various locations.”

The officer said heavy smoke and suffocation were evident, adding that proper firefighting operations are underway using over 30 fire tenders, foam tenders, and hydraulic platforms.

Some of the injured have suffered minor injuries, while others have sustained fractures due to running and falling, the officer added.

The officer confirmed that no one else is currently trapped in the building.

“Communication has been established with the workers and the factory owner, who have manually contacted their people. According to them, no one else is currently trapped in this entire building..." officer said.
