Chandigarh: A Fire Safety-cum-Awareness Seminar was organised in A.C. Joshi Library, Panjab University, Chandigarh, here today. Mr. Satpal Singh, Fire Officer, Fire Station Office, Chandigarh Administration, Sector 11 explained the different types of fire and how to deal with each type of fire. An Interactive session was also conducted during the Seminar. Many students and staff members cleared their doubts. Singh also demonstrated practically the functioning of fire fighting extinguishers, fire alarm and fire hydrant system. Approximately 200 staff members and students attended the awareness programme.
