Amritsar police on Friday booked AIG RS Uppal on charges of rape, sexual harassment and other relevant sections of the Indian penal code. The case was registered after police commissioner SS Srivastava urged to shift the probe to a senior woman police officer as the victim hailed from Hoshiarpur and the accused was posted in Chandigarh. The probe was later marked to IG (Crime) Vibhu Raj.
