Punjab weather for the next 7 days latest Updates: The weather in Punjab is likely to remain pleasant and mostly cloudy for the Next seven days in Punjab, starting today with the IMD Chandigarh issuing yellow and orange alerts, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and other weather conditions in most of the districts across the state.

Additionally, the Southwest monsoon has further advanced over some more parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana, according to the national IMD’s update issued yesterday.

Weather Forecast for June 27:

As of June 27, the districts under orange alert are Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar, Kapurthala

These districts are expected to experience heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls.

Districts Under Yellow Alert are Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr (SBS Nagar), Rupnagar, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Ludhiana, Moga, Firozpur, Faridkot, Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda

These areas may witness thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls, though the intensity is expected to be lower than in orange alert regions.

No warnings have been issued for the remaining districts in the state for this day.

Weather Forecast for June 28:

On June 28, the IMD has placed only four districts under a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls. The rest of the state has no weather warnings.

June 29 Outlook:

On June 29, the eastern districts of Punjab are under a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls. However, Patiala, SAS Nagar (Mohali), and Rupnagar have been placed under a specific warning for heavy rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls.

There is no alert for the western districts on this day.

Extended Weather Outlook (June 29–June 31):

The weather is likely to remain cloudy and cool from June 29 to June 31, with the IMD forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall in most districts across the state.
