Municipal Council President Karnail Singh accused MLA Sukhbir Singh Maiserkhana of taking ₹30 lakh in exchange for helping him become the council president.
The dispute reportedly erupted over seating arrangements on the stage, leading to tensions between the MLA and the Municipal Council President.
Officials from the AAP civil administration and police reached the spot. The administration made efforts to mediate and pacify both sides.
