Punjab Cabinet Observes One-Minute Silence In Memory of Kuldip Nayar

The Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday observed one-minute silence as a mark of respect.............

Chandigarh: The Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday observed one-minute silence as a mark of respect to veteran journalist and noted writer Kuldip Nayar (95), who passed away in Delhi.The Cabinet described Kuldip Nayyar as a multifaceted personality, who served in different capacities as a diplomat and parliamentarian.

Besides being a fine human being, he was an erudite author, who penned several articles on a wide spectrum of Indian and international topics including politics and current affairs in the esteemed columns of leading newspapers and magazines, the cabinet notes.

Recalling his remarkable services as a son of Punjab, the Cabinet said that Nayar would be remembered by one and all for his efforts in strengthening Indo-Pak ties, besides fostering love, peace, brotherhood and amity between the people of both nations.
The cabinet shared their heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, relations and friends.
