Bikram Majithia Judicial Custody Latest News Today: In a major development, a Mohali court on Saturday extended the judicial custody remand of senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia in a case related to the Prevention of Corruption Act. 

He was produced before the court after the completion of his 14-day remand. Bikram Majithia is currently lodged in New Nabha Jail, Patiala. Now, he will be presented before the court again on August 2, the next date of hearing into the matter.

It may be recalled that Bikram Majithia was remanded to 14-day judicial custody on July 6, after he completed the four-day police remand. 

He was arrested by the Vigilance Bureau at his Amritsar residence on June 25. He was brought to Mohali the next day, where the court sent him to the 7-day custody of the Vigilance Bureau on June 26. On July 2, his remand with the Vigilance Bureau was extended by four days.
