Chandigarh, January 16: The Punjab Skill Development Mission hosted a training on new ERP Portal developed by National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR) here today. NIRD&PR, DDU-GKY wing Director (M&E) Mr. Shankar Dutt Kabdal gave presentation regarding a single common “Kaushal Bharat” IT platform & ERP system for ensuring the effective project implementation & monitoring of DDU-GKY projects in the state of Punjab.

He briefed the that the new ERP portal will be very efficient, user friendly & cost effective. The key feature of the application is end to end project management along with online placement Verification and Computation support. Mr. D.K. Tiwari Principal Secretary Technical Education cum MD, PSDM said that the Punjab Skill Development Mission would adopt the new ERP portal soon which would be followed by the series of training for multiple stakeholders within state of Punjab.

He also said that NIRD&PR as Central Technical Support Agency (CTSA) for DDU-GKY project has deputed one project officer for facilitating the state in terms of training and monitoring support. This exercise will ensure the timely execution and effective operational and financial monitoring of DDU-GKY projects in the state of Punjab.
