Chandigarh, January 16: The Punjab Technical Education & Employment Generation Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi handed over appointment letters to the newly recruited Counsellors at function held at Punjab Bhawan in the presence Mr. D.K Tiwari Principle Secretary Employment Generation, Mr. Rahul Tiwari Commissioner cum Director Employment Generation and Ms Rajdeep Kaur Additional Director.

Congratulating the newly selected counsellors Mr. Channi asked them to reach to the Youth at ground level and hold career counselling camps at micro level. He appealed the counsellors to motivate and guide & assist Youth to provide jobs as per their qualification.  Once again the minister retreated that Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government would not leave any corner untouched for facilitating the Youth to fulfil the promise of 'Ghar Ghar Naukri & Rozgar'.

The Minister also asked the counsellors to collect the data of the unemployed Youth and make separate groups as per their qualifications. Disclosing about the assignments and work profile of the newly appointed counsellors Mr. DK Tiwari Principle Secretary Employment Generation and Mr. Rahul Tiwari Commissioner cum Director Employment Generation said that the counsellors would facilities regarding career counselling, employment activities, vocational education and  education.

These counsellors would also provide assistance to applicants in preparing to choose, change and adjust to occupational life. They would also assess the strengths and weakness of the applicants while using assessment tools. These counsellors would keep them updated about the latest employment generation activities to assist the Youth in getting Jobs as per their qualifications.Others prominent present on the occasion included Mr. D.K Tiwari Principle Secretary Employment Generation, Mr. Rahul Tiwari Commissioner cum Director Employment Generation and Ms Rajdeep Kaur Additional Director.
