Gurpreet Singh wins prize money of Rs 20 lakh..

Chandigarh, January 9: Gurpreet  Singh of Butala village in Amritsar district clinched the bumper prize of Rs 20 lakh in the Punjab State Deluxe Monthly Lottery. Another proud winner was Asha Devi of Ludhiana who pocketed the first prize of Rs 3 lakh in the Punjab State Shubh Mangal Weekly Lottery. The two lakhpatis have handed over their prize winning tickets to the Punjab State Lotteries department for encashment of their prizes.

An official spokesperson said that the draw for the Punjab State Deluxe Monthly Lottery was held on December 28, 2018 and for the Punjab State Shubh Mangal Weekly Lottery on December 25, 2018. Expressing satisfaction over the transparent and smooth system of the lotteries draws adopted by Punjab State Lotteries department, the winners said that the most joyous thing is that Punjab is an only state in which the big prizes of all lotteries are surely given in common people.

The spokesman said the 'Punjab State New Year Lohri Bumper-2019' had already been floated in the market for which the draw will be held on January 16, 2019. Considering the huge enthusiasm of the people, the Punjab State Lotteries Department is all set to launch the ‘Holi Bumper-2019’.
