Chandigarh, February 8: Election commission of India issued clarification about cut-off date for transfers and postings of officers regarding General Elections 2019. Commission has announced that the cut of date is before 31-05-2017 for posting and transfers of officials of Punjab.

These orders are applicable on those officers, who are posted in the same Assembly Constituency/District where they were posted during Assembly/Bye Elections in period between 1-06-2015 to 31-05-2017. In its letter Commission clarified that under the calculating period of 3 years; there is no need to go beyond before 01-06-2015.
