A youth has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman in Yunuspur village in neighbouring Shamli district, police said today. According to a complaint lodged by the woman's husband, when she was waiting for a vehicle at a bus stand last evening, the accused Vishva Kumar came on a bike and offered to drop her to her village. But, the accused took her to a sugarcane field and raped her, SHO Munesh Kumar of Pukhtaghari police station said. The accused was arrested and the woman has been sent for medical examination, he added.
