Union Budget 2024, Gold and Silver Prices in India: In a major relief to the common people in India, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday announced that the prices of Gold and Silver would be reduced in India.
While presenting the Union Budget 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "I propose to reduce customs duties on gold and silver to 6% and 6.5% on platinum." Govt proposed basic custom duty reduction on gold and silver to 6pc; platinum to 6.4pc.

This will lead to a reduction in the prices of Gold and Silver in India, which would be a major relief for the common man.
