Police are investigating how the intruder managed to bypass the building's security.

Saif Ali Khan Attack Latest News Today: In a harrowing episode that left Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan hospitalized, an intruder broke into his Bandra home early Thursday, sparking a tense 30-minute ordeal. Saif, stabbed six times during the confrontation, underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital and is now out of danger.

Police are investigating how the intruder managed to bypass the building's security. There were no signs of forced entry, and CCTV footage showed no suspicious activity in the two hours before the attack. Authorities suspect the assailant, familiar with the building’s layout, scaled a neighboring wall and accessed the home via the fire escape.

The intruder first entered Saif’s younger son Jeh’s room, where nanny Eliyama Philip discovered him around 2 a.m. “I saw the bathroom light on and assumed it was Kareena Kapoor. But then I saw a man step out,” Philip recounted. She confronted the intruder, who demanded ₹1 crore, and sustained injuries while fighting him off. Another house help alerted Saif, who rushed to confront the attacker.

Despite his efforts, Saif was stabbed multiple times. Nanny Geeta helped overpower the intruder, temporarily locking him in a room. However, the assailant escaped, using the building’s fire shaft to flee. Police teams are now working to track him down.

Saif’s injuries included a critical wound to his spine that required immediate surgical intervention. Doctors at Lilavati Hospital successfully treated the injuries, including reconstructive procedures on his hand and neck.

A case of robbery, trespassing, and grievous hurt has been registered, and the police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspect.
