A member of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) was allegedly beaten to death by a mob at Baringgre in East Garo Hills district, police said today. Aita Boro, who escaped police firing in an encounter at Tarasin yesterday, reached the village under the Rongjeng police station and was caught by locals, Superintendent of Police R Momin said. Soon, a mob gathered around him and allegedly beat him to death, he said. A member of the NDFB was killed in an encounter with police at Tarasin yesterday.
