Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday stated that increased human intervention in wildlife areas across the state is causing wild animals, including tigers and leopards, to move closer to human settlements.

Addressing the media on the issue, CM Siddaramaiah said, “A large number of resorts are coming up in forest areas and the traffic of people, including safaris, is increasing. Due to shortage of water and fodder and the menace of tigers and leopards, wild animals are coming to the populated areas.”
