Shamsher Mehndi brother of famous singer Daler Mehndi dies

Shamsher Mehndi, a Indian Pop singer and brother of famous singer Daler Mehndi passed away in Mendanta Hospital. He was suffering from severe jaundice. Jaundice ultimately led to liver failure. Shamsher took his last breath today at 3 AM.

He was also the younger brother of famous Punjabi as well as Bollywood singer Mika Singh. Mika Singh in his official twitter account tweets, " Waheguru ji ka Khalsa sri Waheguru ji ki Fateh..Very sad news for our family that our older brother Ustad ShamsherSingh ji has passed away".


Shamsher Mehndi was also a songwriter and record producer. He was one of the jury members of the famous Hindi singing reality competition, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’, aired on Zee TV.

In 2003, Shamsher Singh, along with his brother Daler Singh, has been accused of illegally sending people abroad disguised as members of his troupe by charging money from them. It has been alleged that Mehndi Brother’s has 2 troupes in 1998 and 1999, in which 10 members were taken to U.S and dropped off illegally.

His younger brother Mika is out of India for some live shows. The cremation ceremony will take place day after tomorrow, after his younger brother Mika reaches India.
