PhotoMaharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh tweeted condolences over the actor's death. "Actor Sai Prasad Gundewar, who won the hearts of the people with his acting, finally lost the war after a long battle with cancer," he tweeted.

It may be mentioned that Sai Gundewar participated in MTV Splitsvilla in 2010. He then worked as a show survivor on the American reality show Reality Show.
