Both the Leaders Delved into Discussions on Pertinent Regional and Global Matters 

NEW-DELHI: In a Significant Development, Russian President Vladimir Putin engaged in a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The conversation covered a range of topics, including President Putin's regrettable unavailability for the upcoming G-20 summit scheduled to take place in Delhi next month. Instead, Russia will be represented by Sergey Lavrov at the conference.

Sources indicate that during the conversation, both leaders engaged in a comprehensive review of ongoing bilateral cooperation efforts. They also delved into discussions on pertinent regional and global matters of mutual interest. The dialogue encompassed insights into the recently concluded 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg.

A Notable highlight of the conversation was President Putin's acknowledgment and congratulations to Prime Minister Modi on the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, a significant milestone in India's lunar exploration endeavors.  Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a robust and close dialogue. This commitment is particularly relevant in the context of Russia's forthcoming BRICS chairmanship, set to commence on January 1, 2024.
