Internet & SMS Services Suspended since March 18 Noon
CHANDIGARH: Internet services to be restored in the state from today (Tuesday, March 21) except four districts and some areas in Mohali of Punjab. The Punjab government has said that mobile internet services, SMS services (except banking and mobile recharge), all dongle services provided on mobile networks will be suspended till March 23 in the areas of Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Moga, Sangrur, sub-division Ajnala in Amritsar, YPS Chowk and Airport road of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar.
Notably, Apart from these locations, Internet and SMS services will be operational after 12 noon across the state. The Punjab government had imposed ban on Mobile internet services after taking in view the continued search for WPD (Waris Punjab De) Chief Amritpal Singh and prevailing tense situation in the state.
