Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora on Friday announced that the Central Government has recognised the state as a "top performer" for the second consecutive time in the States' Start-up Ecosystem Ranking.

This recognition is a part of the 5th Edition of the rankings released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

During the National Start-up Day celebrations held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in the presence of the Prime Minister, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the Punjab Government’s Department of Industries and Commerce.
