November 16 commemorates Martyrdom Day in honor of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, a freedom fighter who played a crucial role in India’s struggle for independence. Following these observances, Sunday, November 17, will round off the long weekend, allowing residents and devotees time for reflection and celebration. 

These holidays highlight the state’s commitment to honoring its cultural heritage and important figures, providing citizens with an opportunity to participate in religious and historical events across Punjab.
