On 18 May 2017, Harvinder Kaur alias Minty filed a complaint against BJP leader Vijay Sampla's nephew Ashu Sampla, Sheetal Angural & others

JALANDHAR: In a Significant Development, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted approval to the bail application of AAP MLA Sheetal Angural from Jalandhar West. This decision comes after Angural was initially granted conditional interim bail in the case. The Jalandhar court had issued a non-bailable warrant against the legislator due to his failure to appear in court, a situation that had persisted for an extended period.

The case dates back to six years ago, precisely on May 18, 2017, when Harvinder Kaur, also known as Minty, filed a complaint. The complaint implicated several individuals, including Sheetal Angural, in the legal proceedings. Notably, among those named in the complaint was Ashu Sampla, the nephew of BJP leader Vijay Sampla.

Sheetal Angural's conditional interim bail had been granted earlier, but the issuance of a non-bailable warrant had brought new dimensions to the legal matter. With the High Court's decision to approve the bail application, it remains to be seen how the case progresses and whether Angural's presence will be required in future court appearances.
