Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Guwahati on Friday afternoon for a two-day visit to Assam. His planned trip to Kokrajhar earlier in the day was cancelled due to heavy rainfall, officials said. Instead of travelling there, the Prime Minister will now launch development projects worth over Rs 4,570 crore for Kokrajhar virutally from Guwahati. The projects are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure and development in the region.
