Tension prevailed in Bhanderi village after a person was killed and two others injured in a clash over a piece of land, police said today. The gram pradhan and his men objected to two people working in their agricultural field last evening following a heated argument during which they opened fire, injuring three people, Circle Officer Sadar Baldev Singh Khandela said.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Ramzan (22) succumbed to injuries, the CO said, adding that the news of his death triggered tension in the village. The irate villagers indulged in brick batting, he said, adding that PAC personnel were deployed in the village. An FIR was filed against the gram pradhan and nine others, Khandela said.
