A Court in Tamil Nadu extended Manish's judicial custody till April 19

Tamil Nadu Police has registered a case under NSA (National Security Act) against YouTuber Manish Kashyap. On Wednesday, a Madurai court in Tamil Nadu extended Manish's judicial custody till April 19. Manish Kashyap is accused of spreading a fake video of the beating of migrant workers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu.

Last week, the Tamil Nadu police team took Manish from Patna to Tamil Nadu with a production warrant from the court. There, he was produced in the Madurai court. He was sent to a three-day police remand by the court. After being remanded, the Tamil Nadu police interrogated him. Earlier Bihar Police and Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) also questioned Manish.

On Wednesday, April 5, accused Manish Kashyap approached the Supreme Court. He filed a petition for hearing in the Supreme Court. Kashyap has filed an application seeking interim bail along with FIRs registered in various states.

Manish Kashyap's lawyer said that he had raised the voice of the Bihari workers in Tamil Nadu through the video. The lawyer further said that the same matter was raised by various people but action has been taken only on Manish Kashyap and it is illegal.
