Chandigarh reports 1st case of swine flu, health department issues advisory

 The department advises anyone experiencing these symptoms to visit the nearest health center for evaluation.

Swine flu in Chandigarh: Swine flu has now reached Chandigarh, with the first reported case involving a doctor. Dr. Suman Singh, Director of the Chandigarh Health Department confirmed this information. The doctor is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, where his condition is stable but he remains under close medical supervision.

In response to this initial case, the health department has issued a public advisory. They urge individuals to take symptoms such as fever, headache, cough, and cold seriously, as these may indicate swine flu or other viral infections.

 The department advises anyone experiencing these symptoms to visit the nearest health center for evaluation. Generally, flu patients recover within three to four days. However, the fluctuating temperatures during the rainy season increase the risk of viral infections.
