Chandigarh Shuts Colleges and Technical Institutes Amid Rains Till September 6, Latest News: In view of the prevalent situation arising out of incessant rains and waterlogging in & around areas of Chandigarh, it has been decided that all Government/Private-aided Colleges of Higher Education and all institutions of Technical Education in Chandigarh shall remain closed from 04.09.2025 (Thursday) to 06.09.2025 (Saturday), Directorate of Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration, said.
However, hostels of the Colleges will remain operational. The concerned Principals have been ordered to ensure the safety and well-being of the resident students and take all necessary precautions in this regard.
