Congress and RJD together made Bihar weak and defamed it: Nityanand Rai, Patna, June 5: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai, on the occasion of the anniversary of Sampoorna Kranti Diwas (Total Revolution Day), said that it was on this very day that Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan (JP), from the soil of Bihar, gave a clarion call for a total revolution against the Congress, which had strangled democracy by imposing Emergency.
He stated that Congress, in blatant disregard of the will of the people, imposed Emergency and arrested opposition leaders. Under JP’s leadership, the youth and students launched such a powerful movement that it shook the very foundation of the Congress regime. Many young lives were sacrificed during this struggle for the restoration of democracy.
Shri Rai pointed out that some leaders who once stood shoulder to shoulder with JP eventually betrayed his ideals and sided with Congress for the lure of power. Lalu Prasad Yadav was one such leader who not only betrayed JP but also the very spirit of democracy and the Total Revolution. His actions proved that both Congress and RJD share the same political character — marked by scams, dynasty politics, corruption, and divisive politics.
He further said that Congress and RJD, together, ruined Bihar — making it weak and tarnishing its image. Bihar will never forgive Lalu Yadav for betraying JP. Tejashwi Yadav is also part of the same legacy, and the people of Bihar are well aware of it.

He criticized Rahul Gandhi for using terms like “surrender,” stating that such language dishonors the sacrifice and valor of our armed forces. The public, he said, will give a fitting response to such leadership.
