Superstar Rajinikanth celebrates his 75th birthday on December 12, 2025. It marks another milestone in a career that has spanned over five decades and made him one of Indian cinema’s most iconic figures. He was born as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad. Rajinikanth’s birthday on Friday saw warm wishes and heartfelt tributes from colleagues, fans and political leaders underlining his longevity and his impact on audiences across generations.

Veteran actors Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal were among the first to extend most notable birthday greetings with personal tributes on social media. Kamal Haasan posted a picture with Rajinikanth and wrote, “75 years of a remarkable life. 50 years of legendary cinema. Happy birthday, my friend,” highlighting both Rajinikanth’s age and his half-century contribution to films.
