The incident occurred at Harbans Nursing Home, where Dr. Kamboj was attending to patients when two assailants on a motorcycle entered the premises, pretending to seek medical assistance. Once inside, they opened indiscriminate fire, striking the doctor with two bullets before fleeing the scene.
Doctor in Critical Condition
Dr. Kamboj was rushed to a private hospital in Moga, where he remains in critical condition. According to hospital sources, the injuries are serious, and he is currently under intensive medical care.
Police sources have indicated that Dr. Kamboj had received threats in recent weeks, although the motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.
