Bill Gates to Make a Special Appearance on 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2' with Smriti Irani on StarPlus: Bill Gates, founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and former CEO of Microsoft, is making a special appearance in an upcoming episode of Smriti Irani-starrer ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’.
The makers of the show shared a promo video of the episode on Thursday, leaving fans to call it the “crossover of the year.”
Sharing the promo on Instagram, the team of StarPlus wrote, “This time, amidst the story of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, a new bond is being formed — one of health, compassion, and change. And joining this story is one of the world’s greatest changemakers — Bill Gates, with a vision: every mother and every child should be safe and healthy. Two different worlds, united by one purpose — to bring maternal and child health to every home. To hear Mr. Bill Gates and our Tulsi share their thoughts on this important subject, watch #KyunkiSaasBhiKabhiBahuThi tonight at 10:30 PM, only on #StarPlus and #Hotstar.”
In the promo, Smriti Irani, as Tulsi, welcomes Bill Gates with “Jai Shri Krishna,” to which the billionaire philanthropist replies, “Namaste Tulsi Ji, Jai Shri Krishna.”
Smriti is then heard saying, “Bahut accha laga yeh jaan kar ki aap seedhe America se mere parivaar se jud rahe hain. Hum sab aapka besabri se intezaar kar rahe hain.” (It feels wonderful to know that you’re connecting with my family all the way from America. We’re all eagerly looking forward to seeing you.)
To this, the Microsoft co-founder warmly replies, “Thank you, Tulsi ji.”
The first episode of the show’s second season aired on July 29, 2025. The original season began airing in 2000, created by Ektaa Kapoor and produced under her banner, Balaji Telefilms.
