Punjab Govt Revises School Timings Due to Cold Wave

The Punjab Government has announced a revision in timings for all schools across the state due to adverse weather conditions, including a severe cold wave and dense fog.

The decision is focused on ensuring student safety during extreme weather. It applies to all government, private, and aided institutes with immediate effect.

According to the official notification, primary schools will now operate from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

For middle, high, and senior secondary schools, the revised schedule is set from 10:00 AM to 3:20 PM.

School heads have been instructed to implement the new timings to ensure the safety of students and staff during the winter peak.

This adjustment follows earlier shifts in timing, providing further relief to students and staff navigating the peak winter season.
