Punjab Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan has reviewed the progress of concerned departments on State Reforms Action Plan (SRAP) 2020-21

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan has reviewed the progress of concerned departments on State Reforms Action Plan (SRAP) 2020-21 besides directing the Administrative Secretaries to ensure scrupulous compliance to achieve set goals, and to meet the deadline of December 31, 2020 as mandated by DPIIT.

Disclosing this here, a spokesperson of the Industry department said that Chief Secretary had also directed the departments to further enhance efficacy in public delivery of services in line with state's aim to achieve ease of doing business.

The reforms have been prescribed as part of the State Reforms Action Plan (SRAP) 2020-21 by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India.

Mahajan also instructed the concerned departments to hold Udyog Sampark campaign series of industry outreach workshops/meetings both at State and district level to ensure extensive user outreach and awareness for the applications and services pertaining to their respective departments.

VINI MAHAJANVini MahajanMahajan also directed to eliminate multiple electronic interfaces across departments and agencies providing services to industries and to use Invest Punjab Business First Portal as the only unified portal for accepting applications and providing services by 30-November-2020.

The Chief Secretary informed that out of the total recommended reforms by DPIIT, 85% reforms have been already implemented by the concerned departments. She assured that the pending reforms would be implemented before 31-12-2020 as per the guidelines of DPIIT. She further informed that the State expects to get a good ranking this year in the Ease of Doing Business.
