The Cause of the fire is being investigated
LUDHIANA: Massive fire broke out in the Central Bank of India branch located at Bhai Wala Chowk in the city. The incident came to light when the staff arrived for duty on Wednesday morning. They immediately tried to control the fire with the help of the people nearby. After which, the fire increased and smoke spread everywhere. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade personnel reached the spot with vehicles. They tried to control the fire but smoke had spread throughout the building, due to which they could not enter the building.
Notably, They broke the glass from the outside of the building, due to which the smoke came out. Fire brigade personnel entered and after about 2 hours of struggle, the fire was brought under control. The cause of the fire is being investigated. Along with this, the damage to the bank branch is also being assessed.
