PhotoHowever, the accused managed to escape on the spot. It may be recalled that Gurwinder was having a quarrel with his uncle regarding property dispute, about which he had lodged a written complaint with the police.
The accused's uncle Baldev Singh said the man beat his father at night and snatched the rifle after which the accused opened fire on the police personnel late at night in which several police officials were injured.
Photo Police have booked Gurwinder Singh for murder (Section 302) and attempt to murder (Section 307) as well as the Arms Act.
