A man named Gurwinder opened fire on a police team at night in Khosa Pando village of Moga in which a police constable has died.

ASI Tarlochan Singh and a police constable were also injured in the firing.

PhotoPhotoHowever, the accused managed to escape on the spot. It may be recalled that Gurwinder was having a quarrel with his uncle regarding property dispute, about which he had lodged a written complaint with the police.

The accused's uncle Baldev Singh said the man beat his father at night and snatched the rifle after which the accused opened fire on the police personnel late at night in which several police officials were injured.

PhotoPhoto Police have booked Gurwinder Singh for murder (Section 302) and attempt to murder (Section 307) as well as the Arms Act.
