'Satish ji, you will always live in our hearts through your talent'- CM Mann

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed grief over the demise of famous bollywood actor and director Satish Kaushik.

Taking to Twitter, CM Mann wrote (In Punjabi) (Roughly Translated), "Satish Kaushik ji's untimely demise is very sad...Satish ji, you will always live in our hearts through your talent..."

Actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away on Thursday (March 9) at the age of 67. However, the cause of his demise is not clear yet. Born on 13 April 1965 in Haryana, Kaushik was a famous Bollywood actor, comedian, script writer, director and producer. He did his schooling in Delhi. After graduating from Kirori Mal College, he joined the National School of Drama (NSD). In 1985, he married Shashi Kaushik. Their son died at the age of 2 years.

Notably, Satish made his debut in Bollywood in 1983. Before this, he worked in theatre. Satish got recognition from the movie 'Mr. India in 1987'. He played the role of 'Pappu Pager' in Deewana-Mastana in 1997. Satish received the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian in 1990 for 'Ram Lakhan' and in 1997 for 'Sajan Chale Sasural'.
