CHANDIGARH: In a bid to acknowledge and celebrate the commendable contributions of teachers in government schools across the state, the Education Department of the Punjab Government has initiated the "Teacher of the Week" program. This initiative aims to shed light on the dedicated efforts of teachers and inspire others to follow suit. Under this program, teachers who have demonstrated exemplary performance during the week will be recognized, with their accomplishments shared with the public.

Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced the launch of this program as a means to restore the honor and prestige associated with the teaching profession.
