Dr. BS Chavan, Director-Principal of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Sector 32 breathed his last on Friday morning

Chandigarh: Dr. BS Chavan, Director-Principal of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Sector 32 breathed his last on Friday morning after a prolonged illness.

A noted physiatrist, Dr. Chavan was suffering from abdominal cancer and was undergoing treatment at GMCH-32. Hospital spokesperson Anil Moudgil informed that he was on a ventilator since last Saturday.

“His oxygen saturation level dipped around 2 am. Despite our best effort, we could not save him,” Moudgil said.

He left for the heavenly abode at 2:30 am.
