Chandigarh: The coronavirus cases are increasing day by day in Punjab. The death toll in the state has risen to 144 after five more died of the deadly virus.
The death toll from coronavirus started from March in Punjab which took a huge turn in June, as 99 people died of coronavirus in June alone. It may be recalled that 155 new cases were registered in the state on Tuesday.

CoronavirusThe highest number of cases was reported in Ludhiana (37), Sangrur (18), Amritsar and Mohali 12 each and other districts (36).
Meanwhile, 103 people returned home on Tuesday. It may be mentioned here that the number of people affected by Corona in the state has reached 5,650 and now there are 1,640 active cases in Punjab.
