WHO has informed that QP Pharmachem Limited Company of Punjab produces this cough syrup. On this issue, Sudhir Pathak, Managing Director of QP Pharma Chem Ltd., said that the Food and Drug Administration of Punjab suspected that someone had copied the product (cough syrup) sent to Cambodia to defame the Indian government and It has since been sold in Marshall Islands and Micronesia.
The FDA department has taken samples of the cough syrup sent to Cambodia for testing. A total of 18,336 bottles of cough syrup were sent. It is worth noting that the cough syrup on which the WHO has questioned the quality was only allowed to be sent from India to Cambodia. How did it reach the Marshall Islands and Micronesia?
