New Delhi: India's Covid-19 caseload rose to 1,01,46,845 with 23,067 new infections being reported in a day, while recoveries have crossed the 97-lakh mark.

The death toll increased to 1,47,092 with 336 new fatalities.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease surged to 97,17,834, pushing the national recovery rate to 95.77 per cent, while the Covid-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.45 per cent.

There are 2,81,919 active coronavirus infections in the country which constitutes 2.78 per cent of the total caseload, as per the data.

India's Covid-19 infection tally had crossed the 70-lakh mark on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.
