She submitted a demand letter to the Union Minister
New Delhi: Member of Parliament from Patiala Preneet Kaur met Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar today (April 11). She submitted a demand letter to the Union Minister in which sought the compensation for for the damaged crops.
Notably, due to unseasonal rain, a lot of damage have been caused to crops in Punjab. Therefore, the state government has also announced compensation for the farmers. In this regard, the state government has said that they are with the farmers and the compensation amount will be deposited in the farmers' accounts before Baisakhi.
Accordingly, Parliamentarian Preneet Kaur has met the Union Agriculture Minister and appealed to give increased amount of compensation to the farmers of Punjab for the loss of wheat crop from the central part.
