New Delhi: The Income Tax (I-T) department on Saturday notified that the last date for filing Income Tax returns (ITRs)

New Delhi: The Income Tax (I-T) department on Saturday notified that the last date for filing Income Tax returns (ITRs) for the financial year (FY) 2019-20 (assessment year 2020-21) has been extended till November 30, 2020 in view of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Income Tax India tweetIncome Tax India tweetIn a tweet, the I-T department said: "Understanding & keeping in mind the times that we are in, we have further extended deadlines. Now, filing of ITR for FY 2019-20 is extended to November 30, 2020."

The Centre had also extended the deadline for linking biometric Aadhaar with PAN till March 31, 2021.
