META company issued statements on its various handles after resolving the issue. 

Facebook and Instagram Down News, What happened to these META apps yesterday? This is exactly the question of lakhs of Indians who faced a major outage in India on Tuesday. It is pertinent to mention that Facebook and Instagram went down yesterday and people wondered why these Meta apps were not working. In the meanwhile, the META company issued statements on its various handles after resolving the issue. 

Facebook tweeted, on X, "And we're back. So sorry for those who were unable to access Facebook earlier today." "Hiiiii, we know that people had difficulty accessing IG earlier today. We resolved the issue and are back," said Instagram in a post on X.

Likewise, the Meta Newsroom tweeted, "We know some people were having trouble accessing our apps earlier. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you for your patience while our teams worked quickly to resolve!" 

On the other hand, Andy Stone, Communications, Meta, said "Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience." 

Prima Facie it appeared that there was a technical issue due to which Facebook and Instagram were down. However, there has been no information about the exact reason behind the same. 

Moreover, Elon Musk, the owner of X, took a dig at Facebook and Instagram and wrote: "If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working."
