The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has not yet given any long-winded response to such misinformation. Yes, the Foreign Office has certainly commented that the entire world is aware of the reality of Balochistan. Therefore, there is no need to say anything more about it. This is a reasonable approach.

It is worth mentioning that the attack on the police station in the Mangi Dam area of ​​Ziarat took place three days ago. In this, 17 people including 9 policemen were killed. The dead are said to include two SHOs, the head of the anti-terror cell and 6 constables. Apart from these, there are reports of eight civilians also being killed. The attackers looted the armoury of the police station and also took 15-20 policemen hostage. Five of them were missing on Wednesday as well.

Six hours after the attack, the Pakistani army's Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police claimed that 15 terrorists were killed in a joint counter-attack by the Pakistani security forces' joint media agency 'ISPR'. On the other hand, the Baloch rebel organization 'Baloch Liberation Army' (BLA) counter-claimed through social media posts that all the 15 dead were innocent Baloch civilians who were shot dead by government forces, calling them supporters of the rebels. BLA has also threatened to take revenge for the killings of these innocents.

The Ziarat attack was the second major attack by Baloch insurgents against government security forces in just a week. Earlier, they had carried out a suicide attack on a Pakistan Coast Guard camp near the town of Panwan in Gwadar district, killing 30 coast guards. A Mazda pickup truck loaded with explosives was used for that attack. It is clear that both these attacks have belied the Pakistani army's claims that it has broken the back of Baloch terrorism.

Pakistani media, under government pressure, has been using the term 'Fitna-ul-Khawarij' for Baloch insurgent activities. It has also been calling 'Khawarij terrorism' an Indian creation. It is a different matter that Pakistan has consistently failed to present adequate evidence in support of such allegations at international forums. Earlier, it used to say that the presence of Indian construction companies in Iran's Sistan-Baluchistan province was an Indian tool to help the Baloch insurgents. Now, the activities of Indian construction companies in Kandahar and other Afghan provinces are being said to be the basis for 'sheltering' the Baloch insurgents.

Although the Pakistani media has always spoken the official language in terms of anti-India propaganda, it has always raised question marks before the official claims through its editorials and commentaries. Even now, leading English newspapers and commentaries have raised questions about the strategy of the security forces in the fight against terrorism. Along with advocating for strict action against the supporters of terrorist acts, these commentaries have also asked the Pakistani rulers why they are not showing sincerity towards redressing the grievances of the local people?

Or why is there still no serious attempt to find out why the 'Khawarij terrorists' continue to enjoy the support of the general public? Ziarat is the place where Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah spent the last months of his life. This district, at an altitude of five thousand feet, is considered the most beautiful area of ​​Balochistan. The overwhelming public support for terrorism in this district, full of pine and oak trees, is the product of the unjust policies of the Pakistani government; not of the alleged devious tactics of the Indian intelligence agencies. It is in the best interest of Pakistan and the Baloch people to accept this reality.
