Bageshwar district emerged as the best-performing district in the state.
Uttarakhand announced the results of its Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations on Saturday, showing an overall improvement in pass percentages and continued strong performance by girl students.
According to official figures released by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education, the Class 12 pass percentage rose to 85.11 percent, an increase of 1.88 percentage points compared to the previous year. In the Class 10 examination, the pass percentage also improved by 1.33 percentage points.
Girls once again outperformed boys in both categories. In the Class 12 results, girls recorded a pass percentage of 88.09 percent, while boys stood at 81.93 percent. In Class 10, the pass rate for girls was 96.07 percent, significantly higher than the 88.03 percent recorded by boys.
Among top performers, Geetika Pant of Bageshwar and Sushila Mehendiratta of Udham Singh Nagar jointly topped the Class 12 examination with 98 percent marks each. In the Class 10 results, Akshat Gopal from Ramnagar secured the first position with 98.20 percent marks.
The board reported that 1,00,452 students appeared for the Class 12 examination, out of which 85,499 successfully cleared it. In Class 10, 1,08,983 students appeared, and 1,00,373 passed.
Bageshwar district emerged as the best-performing district in the state, achieving pass percentages of 94.84 percent in Class 12 and 96.98 percent in Class 10.
Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat announced the results at the board headquarters in Ramnagar and praised the efforts of students and teachers for the improved performance across the state.
