The recording also appears to challenge earlier claims by other individuals who have purportedly taken responsibility for the killing.

Amritsar Mad Sandhu Murder Case Latest News Today: A purported audio recording circulating on social media has added a fresh angle to the investigation into the murder of Punjabi influencer and makeup artist Mad Sandhu.

In the recording, individuals identified as Goldy Dhillon, Lucky Johal and Mani Paddu allegedly claim that they were behind Sandhu’s killing. The audio has rapidly spread online, although its authenticity has not been confirmed by the police.

The speaker reportedly begins the recording with the Sikh greeting “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh” before making the alleged admission. The recording also appears to challenge earlier claims by other individuals who have purportedly taken responsibility for the killing.

The person heard in the clip allegedly says that the group has evidence to establish its claim. The speaker further states that the attack was not carried out for financial reasons, instead making allegations about Sandhu’s presence and activities in Punjab.

A warning is also issued to a person named Arupreet in the recording, with the speaker allegedly indicating that he could be the next target.

Police verification remains crucial

Sandhu was shot in Amritsar recently and sustained critical injuries. He later died while being taken to hospital, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Despite the emergence of the audio clip, authorities have not officially confirmed that the people named in it were involved in the murder. Police have also not announced an arrest in connection with the killing so far.

Investigators will now have to establish whether the recording is genuine and whether the claims made in it correspond with evidence collected from the crime scene and other parts of the investigation.

The incident has drawn considerable attention, particularly against the backdrop of other recent firearm-related violence in Punjab. A separate incident involving the killing of an assistant sub-inspector had also raised concern among authorities.

As the probe continues, police are expected to focus on identifying the shooters, determining the motive behind Sandhu’s killing and establishing whether the individuals mentioned in the viral recording have any direct connection to the crime.
