The State Election Commission, Punjab, has today issued notification with regard to the Zila Parishad and the Panchayat Samiti elections. The process to file nominations also begun today but no one turned up to file nominations on dayone. Disclosing this here today a Spokesperson of Office of the State Election Commission, Punjab, said that the last date for filing of nominations is 7th September.

The nominations would be scrutinised on 10th September and the candidates could withdraw their nominations till 11th September. The polling would be held on the 19th of September from 8 AM till 4 PM and the counting would be held on 22nd September.
