Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins a significant six-day European tour today, aimed at bolstering India's strategic partnerships and elevating its global influence. The visit focuses on key engagements in France and Slovakia, emphasizing collaboration in technology, innovation, and trade.

At the G7 Summit in Evian, France, on June 16-17, the Prime Minister will engage with leaders from the world’s seven most advanced economies. His participation reinforces India’s status as a leading voice of the Global South, providing a crucial platform to address international challenges, economic growth, and regional stability alongside global partners.

Following the summit, the Prime Minister will head to Paris for the prestigious VivaTech Summit on June 18. Recognized as Europe’s largest technology and startup event, the gathering serves as an ideal stage to spotlight India’s prowess as a global hub for entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and innovation-led growth.

In France, the visit begins in Nice with bilateral talks with President Emmanuel Macron to review the "Special Global Strategic Partnership." A highlight of the visit includes the joint inauguration of the ‘Bharat Innovates’ event, designed to foster deep connections between top startups and venture capital funds from both nations.

Concluding the tour, Mr. Modi will conduct a historic State Visit to Slovakia to meet with Prime Minister Robert Fico. This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since Slovakia’s 1993 independence, focusing on deepening ties in manufacturing, trade, and strategic investment.
